E-Tools
classroomtools.net
This website allows you to make games, quizzes, activities, and diagrams. What’s nice about the tools is that you can post them to different locations to give access to students, parents, and/or teachers. A nice feature is the templates that are available to use right away or the ability to create your own material. It is a great tool making classroom learning fun and interactive.
1. Use the classroom timer to help monitor student progress and keep students on task. It also can be used as a motivation tool to keep the students engaged and interested.
2. Creating games and quizzes are a fun way to use technology to support learning inside the classroom. Games can be used as introductory activities to new topics, reinforcement, and review. Making quizzes and games specific to a classroom will help students focus the information that is most important. Games also present a fun and interactive way to engage the students helping even the reluctant learners to get involved.
3. I absolutely love the random name picker. This could be used inside a classroom in a variety of different ways. This program can be used to choose the next student to present their report, answer a question, or earn a reward. Students are picked at random allowing students to feel a sense of fairness. This would also force students to remain engaged and active in a lesson since they would not know when it would be there turn to answer a question.
